Is it just me or are brands releasing new products every week?? You guys… I’m heavily involved in the makeup community and sometimes it makes my head spin. I thought it might be helpful to give you guys a run down of what’s new at Ulta and give some recommendations for them.
Why Ulta and not Sephora? Honestly, I’m not super impressed with Sephora. Like, yeah it’s a makeup store so I automatically love it a little, but when I realllllyyy think about it – I prefer Ulta. Not only does Ulta also offer affordable makeup, but their reward system is far superior.
So let’s get into the new new at Ulta.
Oh wait! Before you purchase anything from Ulta – whether from this post or not – don’t forget to activate your cashback from Ebates/Rakuten. If you aren’t familiar with this system, it’s a cashback program that gives you a percentage of your purchase back. It’s literally free money! I personally use it and love it! In fact, I just opted to receive my cashback via an e-gift card to Ulta. If you’re interested in signing up, here’s my referral link!
The first thing is so new it isn’t even available for purchase yet! Ulta will be carrying Sunday Riley! Sunday Riley is a very expensive skincare brand that previously was only available at Sephora. It looks like Ulta will be carrying a little bit of everything from them. All products will go live, both in store and online, on August 11th.
I’ve honestly seen so many good reviews for so many of their products – which is how it should be considering the price point!
The Sunday Riley Good Genes is probably one of their most talked about products. Lactic acid helps with exfoliating dead skin cells while also reducing dark spots, fine lines, and wrinkles. Yes, yes, and yes!
The Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil is their retinoid. It basically targets every sign of aging while you sleep: dry skin, uneven texture, age spots, fine lines.
A great way to check out some new products without the super hefty price tag is with kits! Yes, this kit is still $90, but that’s cheap compared to the individual price tags. This Bright Young Thing Kit features three products: Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream, Good Genes, and the CEO Rapid Flash Brightening Serum. These three products make for a brighter, smoother, younger-looking complexion.
An additional kit Ulta is offering is the Power Couple kit which features both the Luna Oil and the Good Genes treatment for $80. Great way to sample both for less than the cost of just the Good Genes.
Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer
This is a product I’m personally excited for! The Makeup Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer has me intrigued because I love the sister concealer, the Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer. The C&D doesn’t mess around, providing full coverage with a matte finish, perfect for super glam looks. However, I’m hoping the C&H will be a little more suitable for everyday wear.
I’m disappointed to only see 16 shades, as the C&D has 50 shades, but I’m sure they’ll be expanding the range soon.
Morphe 39S Such A Gem Artistry Palette
This one’s for all my purple lovers out there! The Morphe Such A Gem palette is calling my name! I personally love all of my Morphe palettes, so this purple one is speaking my language.
This palette is perfect for those of you looking to dive head first into some purples. You could create some really fun and bold looks with the more vibrant purples, or you could stick to the more mauve tones for an everyday look.
It Cosmetics Lash Blowout Volumizing Mascara
Not gonna lie guys – this one has me sold by the packaging! How cute, amirite?! Plus, I’ve heard good things about It Cosmetics mascaras in the past and the wand looks like something I’d like too! The formula is also biotin-infused to strengthen and improve the health of your lashes. Win-win!
Pro tip: The wand can be a good indication of what your lashes will look like with the mascara.
And that’s about it mamas! Is there anything new at Ulta that you’re itching to grab? Which product here grabs your interest the most?
