Are the Target Beauty Boxes worth it?! Find out!

I was so excited when I saw that Target was offering their Beauty Boxes in store! If you don’t know, a Beauty Box is a box filled with beauty products. Weird, right?! It costs $7 and was originally only available for online ordering. There are five different boxes to choose from, and I went with the Wake Up and Makeup box and the All the Masks box. I filmed another video for these boxes soooo…

I’ve had these Target beauty boxes for a few days since recording this. So I’ve had a chance to use some of the products, especially the masks!

All The Masks

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sheet Mask is the first thing I pulled out. This mask is not made out of paper, but a slippery, gel-like substance. My first thought was, oh great! This is gonna slip and slide all over my face while I wear it! However, I’m pleased to report that is not the case. It seems to dry down a bit and get tackier as you wear it. Since this mask is nice and gentle, it can be worn for up to 30 minutes, which I gladly did. The package also came with extra serum, which I love! I save it for the end and then rub the excess into my face, neck, chest, elbows, and knees.

Next I pulled out the Que Bella Multi Mask Pack. This is one I have used already and I personally really liked it! The masks are thick and luxurious and feel so good when you smooth them on. The charcoal portion was nice and tingly. I noticed that in a couple reviews people mentioned that the charcoal mask irritated their skin, so if you have sensitive skin I would test it out first.

The Yes to Carrots and Kale sheet mask was next. I have used this one already. I found it pretty tingly. This isn’t a mask I can just put on and relax, as it is that tingly. However, I was able to keep it on the full 10 minutes. I made sure to wash the serum away thoroughly afterward. My skin was noticeably brighter and firmer after this mask, which I loved!

Weirdly enough, I couldn’t find a decent link for the Masque Bar Luminizing Charcoal peel off mask. I’m wondering if maybe the Target beauty box was a way to deplete their inventory… Either way, I was a bit weary of this mask due to the peel off element. However, the peel off wasn’t bad at all! It didn’t hurt and the peel off was relatively clean. My skin felt smoother afterward. I will say though that this mask was a little tricky to apply, as it is sort of sticky but also very liquid-y.

The last mask in the Target beauty box is the St. Ives Soothing Oatmeal sheet mask. I absolutely loved this mask! Firstly, it had tons of extra serum in the package too! You can guess what I did with it. The mask was also super relaxing to wear, and my skin felt so soft afterward. I was super impressed with this mask!

If you were to buy all of these masks individually, you would pay over $13. I think this box is well worth the $7!

Wake Up and Makeup

The first thing in this Target beauty box is a Dove Invisible Dry Antiperspirant Spray. I love the light, refreshing smell and it seems to be working well for me!

Next is another Dove product – Dove Go Fresh Coconut dry shampoo. I haven’t had a chance to try this out yet. I have used other Dove dry shampoos and haven’t been too impressed, but we shall see about this one specifically. Note that the link is for the full size!

I’ve been trying out these Honest Beauty makeup remover wipes. I must admit I’m not too impressed with these. I feel like they’re rather dry, which means you do a lot of pulling on your face when you use them. They also did not remover my waterproof mascara very well.

The brush that came in the Target beauty box is the ELF Beautifully Bare Blending Brush. Interestingly enough, the Target website says this brush is intended for blending in foundation. I never would have used a brush in this particular shape for blending in foundation, but I’m definitely curious to try it!

I’m not gonna lie – I wasn’t expecting much out of the Sonia Kashuk Quick Dry brush wipe. But I stand corrected! The wipe is a decent size. I was able to clean 6 eyeshadow brushes with it, they were instantly dry, and it left them with a light, delightful scent. All that being said, it’s still $9 for only 10 wipes, which makes these an expensive item. Did it work well? Absolutely. Will I be buying them for almost $1 a piece? No.

And the next item in my Target beauty box is the ELF Beautifully Bare Natural Glow face palette. This palette features four powders: a bronzer, two blushes, and a highlight. It was formulated to be sheer and natural looking, so if you love the natural look I think you would really like this palette. And the colors are perfect for summer!

Lastly, I also received a full sized CoverGirl Peacock Flare mascara. I haven’t used this yet either, as mascara dries out quickly and I just replaced my other tube. I’ve never used a CoverGirl mascara before so I’m eager to try it!

If you were to buy all of these items individually, you would spend over $35! The mascara alone was $7.89, so I think this box is definitely worth it!

Are you interested in picking up any of these Target beauty boxes? There is also their basic monthly beauty box, a Treat Yourself beauty box, and a Be YOU(tiful) box.  Which one do you think you’d like best?
